Gay Rights, Same Sex Marriage

I believe the federal government must protect the rights of all people, with no exclusion of, or discrimination towards Gays and Lesbians.

The definition of marriage that I believe in, is a contract between two people. This should apply without exception to any federal legislation which contains references to marriage, such as tax codes, etc. I believe the Defense Of Marriage Act was unconstitutional, and I would support repealing it.

I accept Admiral Mike Mullen's recommendation to repeal the policy of "Don't ask, don't tell" in our military. To allow openly gay men and women to serve their country proudly; without living a lie that our government has forced upon them.
