Decision to Run for Office

Throughout most of my life, I have watched the actions of our elected officials cause, or fail to avoid:

One economic crises after another

Never ending wars

A loss of quality jobs

The erosion of personal liberties

Tarnishing of America's image

Continuous increases in the welfare state

The situation does not appear to be improving. In fact, it has reached a point where I consider our federal government, in many respects, to be out of control. I'm done asking: when will someone step forward to solve these problems? I'm done asking: who is going to do something about this? I have decided the time is now! And I have declared my candidacy for a seat in the US Congress. I'm not doing this to become rich or powerful. I simply want to do what's best for my country. I offer my dreams, my abilities, my integrity, and my dedication to do whatever it takes to return this country to something resembling the vision of its founders.
